Upon arrival, my room was not as expected. I had specifically booked a beachfront bungalow but was placed in a standard garden bungalow, far from the beach. There was no communication regarding this change, which was incredibly disappointing, especially since I booked well in advance. The cleanliness was also a big issue, with the bathroom presenting an unpleasant odor and the overall upkeep being quite poor.

Communication about room availability could use significant improvement!!! Nighttime noise from nearby bars can be disruptive for lighter sleepers!!! Consider adding better ventilation in the bungalows!!!

during my last trip to koh tao, i enjoyed my stay at mama o chai even more. the beachfront bungalow was cozy and clean, with a lovely view and refreshing breeze.

the room was pretty basic (like really basic), but the beach is just a few steps away, which is awesome. the staff were super friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect—quiet yet close to shops. affordable rates too! !

Nestled by the clearest waters, this spot is a traveler’s paradise! The beachfront bungalows offer stunning views, complete with cozy ambiance. Graceful chickens and playful puppies lighten the mood. Just a short stroll from vibrant nightlife, yet perfectly serene. Plus, the staff are eager to assist with anything from food to tours!

I enjoyed the cozy beachfront bungalows with beautiful sea views and refreshing breezes. The staff were incredibly welcoming, making me feel at home in this peaceful setting just steps from the sandy beach.

Absolutely loved the beachfront bungalow and waking up to the ocean sound. Perfect location, a short stroll to the party scene while enjoying quiet beach times.

But oh, those beds were as stiff as a board! And where do I put my stuff? The floor isn't my personal closet!

It was a nice choice for a day tour in Koh Tao and offered very good value for money. The staff were friendly and made my stay enjoyable, especially when helping me out with local tips.
